पाकपूर्व नदीः
किसी नवीन अपवाह तंत्र की द्वितीय अवस्था वाली नदी जिसका प्रणाल भली-भांती कटा हुआ होता है और जो अपने मुहाने के पास निम्नतम तल तक पहुंच सकती है। इस प्रकार क नदियाँ लगभग संतुलित तल वाली होती है और इनमें युवावस्था वाली झीलें तथा जलप्रपात प्रायः लुप्त हो चुके होते हैं।
