An OCWD/OCSD joint project being developed to provide up to 100,000 acre-feet of reclaimed water annually for groundwater replenishment. Treated wastewater will undergo further treatment at OCWD-using the same technology as bottled water companies-before it is piped northward along the Santa Ana River to replenish the groundwater basin in the inland part of the county.
