जलावरोधी स्तर (Aquiclude)

एक ऐसी भौगोलिक संरचना जिसमें जल की की बहुत अधिक मात्रा हो सकती है, परनेतु इसमें से आर्थिक विकास के लिए उपयुक्त दर से पानी नहीं निकाला जा सकता, उदाहरणत: मृत्तिका एवं शेल।

A geological formation which may contain large volume of water but does not permit its movement at rates sufficientely high for economical development, Eg, Clay and Shale.

aquiclude (kw-kld)

An impermeable body of rock or stratum of sediment that acts as a barrier to the flow of groundwater.
