नैनीताल पर्वतारोहण क्लब

Our organization is known as ‘The Nainital Mountaineering Club’. The club was founded on June 30, 1968 by late Sri Chandra Lal Sah Thulgharia. Registered Under Societies Registration Act XXI 1860. Registered with Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New delhi. The motto of the club is ‘there is no greater force than enthusiasm. Conducting Search & Rescue Courses for Police Personnel and organizing rock climbing courses. We have trained over 30,000 boys and girls in rock climbing since the inception of the club. Mount Nandakhat was climbed for the first time ever by our club in the year 1972. Apart from this Mt. Maiktoli and Mt. Baljuri were climbed by the club in the year 1992. Our core team members have been to the Nanda Devi Sanctuary on different occasions. The club has also led successful expeditions by crossing the Traill’s pass in the year 1994 and Kalandi Khal. We have conducted over 21 courses in ‘Search and Rescue’ for the Government of Uttarakhand.
