Vikas Dhara “Vidha” Mahila Sansthan is a non-profit, non political and secular voluntary organization based in Jhansi, one of the major districts and cities in Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh, India. This region of central India is one of the most backward areas as for as most of the development indicators are concerned.Vidha was founded in the year 1991 by the visionary social worker Mamta Jain, who was involved with social development in different regions of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh since 1980.Since its formation the organization is working on various socio-economic development issues. Vidha is concerned about empowerment of various underprivileged sections of the society especially poor, landless and marginal farmers belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes. .Founded by women, Vidha is committed to work on all the issues related to women empowerment. By ensuring and increasing women’s participation in all development process, Vidha develops women centric development thinking amongst the community.Vidha is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is also registered under 85Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1975 and relevant sections of income Tax Act, 1960.
