हाइड्रोथेरेपिस्ट का काम (Work of hydrotherapist)
एक हाइड्रोथेरेपिस्ट, हाइड्रोथेरेपी में उपचार के विभिन्न तरीके अपनाता है, मसलन ठंडा स्नान, भाप स्नान, तटस्थ स्नान, प्लवनशीलता, ठंडा पैक इत्यादि।
इस थेरेपी में रोगी के दर्द और शरीर के विभिन्न विकार हाइड्रोपैथिक नुस्खे द्वारा ठीक किये जा सकते हैं। मांसपेशियों के अपव्यय की समस्याएँ या किसी गम्भीर चोट से उबारने के लिये फिजियोथेरेपी में हाइड्रोथेरेपी भी एक तकनीक है, जिसका समस्याओं के निदान के लिये उपयोग किया जाता है। यह उन लोगों के लिये बहुत ही फायदेमन्द है, जिन्हें जोड़ों का दर्द रहता है अथवा जो गम्भीर रूप से शारीरिक विकलांगता के शिकार होते हैं।

हाइड्रोथेरेपी में करियर बनाने के लिये आपको पानी और पूल सुरक्षा सम्बन्धी नियमों की पूर्ण जानकारी होनी चाहिए। अन्य पेशेवरों के साथ टीम में काम करने की योग्यता के साथ-साथ बेहतर कम्युनिकेशन और सुनने की क्षमता का होना जरूरी है। इसके अलावा मरीज को बेहतर रूप से सम्भालने का कौशल भी होना चाहिए। यदि हाइड्रोथेरेपिस्ट अपना खुद का थेरेपी सेंटर चला रहा है, तो उसमें धैर्य का होना आवश्यक होता है।
